Dr. Eng. Hesham N. Elmahdy is an Information and Computer Science Consultant, he is a faculty member of the Faculty of Computers and Information (Assistant Prof. of Information Technology Department), Cairo University. He is from Egypt. He received his B.Sc. in Automobile Engineering with honor degree in MTC, Cairo in 1981. He received his first M. Sc. in Computer Science in the Institute of Statistical Studies & Research, Cairo University, Cairo in 1992. He was nominated to get the "King Faisal International" prize in Islamic Studies. He was elected to the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Chapter of the University of Mississippi in April 1995. He received his second M.Sc. in Computer Science in the University of Mississippi in 1996. He received his Ph. D. in Computer Science in the University of Mississippi in 1997. He has been joined The Order of The Engineer of USA since May 1997. His past research was in building Arabic Knowledge Engineering tools. His current research interests are Networks, Distance Learning, and Multimedia
