Panagiotis Bamidis received his degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1990, his M.Sc. in Medical Physics from University of Surrey, U.K. in 1992 and his PhD from the Open University, Milton Keynes, U.K. in 1996. Currently he is Assistant Professor in Medical Informatics, at the Medical Informatics Lab, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His research interests include Affective and Physiological Computing and HCI, Health Information Management, telemedicine, medical informatics, neurophysiological sensing and processing (EEG, SCR signal analysis, emotion identification, brain hypoxia, nonlinear information processing), and functional neuroimaging, Data Mining, and e-learning on medical education (active and collaborative learning, standards, ubiquitous learning, LMS/CMS, e-accreditation), Health Information Systems, Management of Health Information.
