François Deschênes received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from both the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, France, and the Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, in 2002. He is currently the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the Université du Québec à Rimouski. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Departement of Computer Science of the Université de Sherbrooke. His research interests mainly concern computer vision and, more specifically, 3-D scene understanding, depth cue extraction, and video processing.
