Samy Metari received the B.Eng. degree in computer science from the University of Constantine, Algeria, in 2001; the M.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Poitiers, France, in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, in 2009. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Laval University, Québec, Canada. His research interests include computer vision, image processing, and pattern recognition
