Dr Bigham is one of the Technical Advisors to the ISRC, bringing in expertise in a specific technical area, in this case artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems and collaborating systems. John is a Reader at QM, and has experience of carrying out applied and basic research into a broad range of issues related to the deployment of agent technology in real-world applications. John has worked on a variety of EU-funded projects, including UNITE (Integration of Uncertain and Temporal reasoning) and DRUMS (Defeasible Reasoning and Uncertainty Management) within the ESPRIT Programme. Under ACTS he has participated in GEMA, AIM and IMPACT and in the 5th Framework has been working on the IST Projects SHUFFLE and SAFEGUARD.
