Dr. Samia Snoussi Maddouri, obtained her PhD degree in 2002 in electrical ingeneering from National School of Engineer of Tunis (ENITTunisia). She received her Master degrees in Automatic and Signal Processing from ENIT also in 1997. Her diploma of engineer in computer science is obtained from the Faculty of Science of Tunis (FST) in 1995. She contributes to the direction of some Master thesis, PhD thesis and projects of end of study for engineer and license. She contributes also to the conception, the collect and the verification of the first Arabic handwriting database in the word (the IFN/ENIT database). She is a member of the pattern recognition group of Signal Processing Research Laboratory (LSTS) at ENIT. She is also a member of a collaboration DAAD project “on the way of information society” between ENIT and the institute of telecommunication of Branshweig in Germany (IFN).She participated at many international conferences in France, Canada, Algeria and Tunisia. She is an assistant professor in industrial computer science from 2003 in a Superior School of Computer Science and Technology (ESTI). She teaches: pattern recognition, image processing and computer vision, virtual reality, Expert systems, algorithmic and C++ and Oriented object programmation. Her research interests include Handwriting Arabic script recognition, Human perception modeling, Neural Networks Classification ,Image pre and post processing, document and script segmentation, linguistic analyzer, multilingual script and scripter identification.
