B. Anand was born on March 10, 1979. He received the B.E. degree Electrical Engineering in 2001 from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India, and the M.E. degree in Power Systems Engineering in 2002 from Annamalai University, India. He completed the Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, from Anna University, Chennai, India in the year 2011. His research interest includes the development of hybrid intelligent system algorithms and the application to the power system control problems.
