Daniel Waterman received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, USA, in 2000 and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chiba University, Japan, in 2006. He is presently a Ph.D. candidate at Chiba University. His current research involves robotics for hazardous applications such as landmine clearance, hydraulic systems, and nonlinear control. His other research interests include human-machine interface, teleoperation, stereovision, and mixed reality.
