Dr. Shaidah Jusoh is currently a senior lecturer at Graduate Department of Computer Science, College Arts of Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the area of Artificial Intelligence. She received her PhD in Engineering (Engineering System and Computing, December 2005) from University of Guelph, Canada, under the supervision of Dr. Fangju Wang (Department of Computing & Information Science) and Dr. Simon X. Yang (School of Engineering). She also received Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Guelph, Canada, and Bachelor of Information Technology (Honors) from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia. Her research interest includes natural language processing, information extraction, data and text mining, intelligent human-robot interface, and fuzzy approach applications. She has published more than 40 articles in international refereed journals and high quality international proceedings. During her PhD study, Shaidah worked as a sessional lecturer at the School of Engineering, and Department of Computing and Information Science of University of Guelph, Canada, where she taught Computer Networks, Large Scale Software Architecture and Trends in Distributed System courses. After completing her PhD she worked as a postdoctoral fellow of Dept. of Computing & Information Science, U of Guelph, Canada, before returned back to Malaysia.
