Hoda S. Abdel-Aty-Zohdy was born in Cairo, Egypt. She received B. Sc. degree (with Frist Class Honors), in Electrical Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt and she received her M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, all in Electrical Engineering. She has founded the Microelectronics System Design Laboratory at Oakland University. She is currently a Professor at Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Michigan, U.S.A. Her research interests are in the areas of intelligent information processing, embedded Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Analog ICs, Electronic Nose and Microelectronics. Dr. Abdel-Aty-Zohdy is a senior member for the Society of Women Engineers.
