Mahmoud Fakhreldin was born in Giza, Egypt, in 1968. He received the B.S. degree in automatic control from the University of Minufia in 1991 and the M.Sc. and PhD degree in Computer Engineering, from Electronics and Communications Department, Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, in 1996 and 2004 respectively. He has been a Researcher at the Electronics Research Institute since 1993 till now. He has also worked at the Faculty of Engineering, Abha, KSA, 1998-1999. He works as a consultant at the ministry of communications and information technology, Egypt, 2004 – till now. His areas of interest are Evolutionary Computation, Advanced automatic control and image processing.
